I have a 2000 Audi TT Coupe. We chipped the car in Panama and the ECU was damaged while the installation of a GIAC chip was being performed. Now I have a huge problem my car doen't start and the ECU number is 8N0 906 018 Q which is the one my car has is not made any more. I talked to the dealer and the only ECU' that appear in the system are: 8N0 906 018 S and 8N0 906 018 T. The only difference in the ECU's is the en letter that in the three of them is diffrent on mine is Q and on the other two are S and T. I would like to know if you have any info about the ECU's which of the two numbers will be the one that works for my car. I know there are two vesions of the motronic system 7.5 and 7.0 my car is supposed to have the 7.5 but the dealer can't tell whcih of the ECU's is for what. Im trying to find out what ECU to get but they don't seem to know which one will work on my car for sure.
I would appreciate your help Im in total CHAOS.

If you remove your ecu, the motronics version is right on the sticker. Also, I know for a fact that the 8NO 906 018 L is for a 2001, if that helps, that should have the latter motronics version.

I would ask GIAC to get a loaner ecu if they have one, also the immobilizer will have to be reset upon installation of the new ecu.
