Need help with aftermarket CD changer for 2002 passat w/monsoon

I purchased the Panasonic CX-DP610 6-disc changer and adapter from logjam electronics. After installation only the left side speakers work with the cd changer. The stereo works fine when on radio, cassate, or in-dash cd is running. The only time I have problems is when the cd changer is operating. If anyone has any ideas about what might be wrong please let me know.

Did the factory changer work normally? Was there one from the factory? If not, try a friends changer and see if this still happens.

I will have to try that. Unfortunately none of my friends have a passat with a changer. I think I might go to the dealer and see if they can hook one up from the factory.
