Ok, i'm getting one lined up, but i need a site (linkage plz) where i can learn everything.....and i mean everything about it. Engine codes, VIN locations, stock stats, parts breakdowns, commen problems/fixes.....hit me with it all!!!

ok....the guy i'm buying from is a maintence nut.....has all the records since he bought it, so thats ok.
But back to parts.....i know those damn engines inside and out, but the suspension.....
CV boot? Wheel Bearings? Drive Shafts? Half Shafts?

AAAHhhhhh!!!!!! Any breakout diagrams anywhere, or just plain good explanations?

Also, where in Canada could i get a bently manual, and for how much $$$

Rust, rust, rust... If it has'nt been rustproofed, look were the A piller joins with the fender, filler neck area, door jams, doors... The list is pretty long. If it's been repainted, make sure the job was well done 'cause it will all come back to haunt you before you know it. If you're looking for some codes, check scirocco.org If you're not 100% sure, have it check out by a garage that can also check the body. Well, car is rock solid engine wise, but it has its small rusty bits. Bottom of doors, and under handles. No a-pillar stuffs yet. None of this rust is through the metal, and none is even close to an eyesore. So i figgure, about $400 to have it all cleaned up. STill worth it?
pS, still looking for suspension FAQ
