Need new rims!!

Hey i have a '96 golf gti (not vr6).. and I am in serious need of some new rims, and I have no idea what will fit my car and I wanted to buy my rims online somewhere and I need to know what I'm looking for. Anyone know what I shoud be looking for in terms of what will fit on there? and also if you know of some nice rims that you think would look good on a 96 GTI please let me know and also if you could post some pictures, thanks for your help!
