Need some guidance as to my next mod please(long)...

Hey guys, I'm making some late night modding decisions here. I need some advice perhaps from people who have done these mods before, or have any input. Let me list my current mods first:
-Weitech Cup Kit
-H&R front sway bar
-Brospeed Exhaust
-K&N
-I just ordered the AEM CAI
-Ghetto sawed off short shifter
-Yokohama AVS sport D/B rubber
That said, it is time to make some decisions. This summer I will have a maximum of $1500 to spend on my car. period. I can NOT go over that. Currently, I have $400 of that $1500. I am seriously considering just buying the Zex n2o kit tomarrow and charging it (I will have the full 600$ by the time the credit card bill comes). This summer, I can get an n2o GIAC chip from Rich at Dubwerks. HOWEVER, I'm not sure I want n2o anymore. It seems to me that n2o is a temporary solution, and in the long run, filling up the n2o will be too costly. So then I examined other options.

I've always wanted Audi TT 5-spokes. I could wait until this summer and jsut buy a set of those...but the added weight will actually hinder performance, and I like the looks of my stock Montreal II's. In addition, I wan't my car to be a total performanc car --- I'm not in to making it look fast, I want it to be fast

Now I'm thinking new cams. Rich at Dubwerks said the whole 256 cam job, including custom burned GIAC chip, cams, and installation will costs me 1000$ -- a fairly large chunk of my allowance for this summer. However, everyone I;ve talked to has said the 256s are a big improvement. But, I can't help but think that with cams I am spending $1000 for 12hp on the top part of the powerband, whereas for Nitrous I am spending $600 for 50hp anywhere above 3000 rpms.
What do you guys think? I can order the n2o tomarrow if I want, but I'll ahve to wait 3 months to get the cams. Furthermore, my car is approaching 20k miles, is there any maintenance that I will ahve to be doing soon? When do I need new spark plugs? Any intelligent input is welcomed. THANK YOU!

Having played with everything from big-block American muscle to the turbo-charged 4 cylinder I'm playing with now, I'd say stay away from the laughing gas. Spraying a motor would be a last step to gain horsepower for me. I'd rather have extra ponies at all times as opposed to just when I flip a switch. 12hp every time I'm up high in the rev band as opposed to 50 only when I feel like spraying? Take the always there muscle. Only good reason for the NO2 is if you are big on 1/4 mile or street racing.

Thank you, that's what I was leaning towards. However, then I wonder if that $1000 can't be better spent on other areas of the car than new cams for the engine. I've kind of hit that spot now where I've run out of cheap mods
Any other advice?

I thought the 5 spoke forged wheels were relatively light ... not that much heavier than stockers. Might want to check on that.

Well, I've already taken some Porsche racing classes. NOT that I couldn;t use some Skip Barber input either. That's a good idea, maybe I'll look into it...

And by the way, teh TT 5 spokes I've always heard are lik 10lbs heavier per rim than teh my Montreals. I could easily be wrong, though~!

The chip and cam (especially) complement a performance exhaust well - probably more than a 12hp gain (GIAC website lists new program chip ONLY gain as 11HP). N2O is not my favorite, at least from a practical point of view. Wouldn't bother with rims - Montreal II's look pretty good, at least to me. If you still want to spend the extra $500 after cam and chip, I would go for a throttle body (I'm told they do good for VR6's) but not sure how much $$. As for maintenance, high quality spark plugs are usually good for 50K miles, so you should be OK. Proably want to change the pollen filter, oil+oil filter, and brake fluid, if it's been 2 years or you go to the track often.
