All I know right now is that is an 89 Jetta,88,000 miles,5spd----anybody know the h.p rating and the type of fuel system?Can I pull the engine and transmission and drop it into my 82 Rabbit--CIS?

the mk2 forum would probably be able to tell you more about the motor...but as far as the swap.....anything can be done....

if it's an 8V...then it's pretty easy, if it's a 16V, then it's a little more tricky, but can be done....

jetta 89 should be cis-e the '90 was the first jetta with digifant,cis-e swap into an A1 is simple, but no huge power gains other than a newer engine and probably a little higher compression

Uhh, wrong again. Late 87 was the first digi. It will be a simple swap, esp in the 82 as it was pre air shrouded injectors. Just swap your fuel system, exhaust manifold, and dizzy to the newer engine. It was probably the 100 HP version, unlees it had the dual downpipe in which case it was 105.
