good and somewhat cheap standalone install. i've talked to dynamic racing solutions and they quoted me like 3500-4000 for the unit and installation. not to bash them but this seems kinda high. if anyone has any other ideas let me know. thanks in advance.

Re: need standalone and install (pipercubcorrado)

seeing as how most standalone systems are about 1300-2800 just for the system, and then them tuning it and making it right...it looks to be a normal or a pretty good price and they do know what their doin... i dunno thats just me...unless your lookin for a side job type deal.

Re: need standalone and install (junglistdubber)

Sounds high to me. Im new to So Cal, but in Hawaii where I'm from everything costs more, and the typical cost for a standalone w/install and tune is $2500-2700, including dyno. I have a DTA system in my car, I have experience w/Autronic as well and like these two systems better than SDS. SDS may be cheaper but has less usable features.
Best advice is to shop around...my tuner in Hawaii would be happy to fly out to Cali with an Autronic or DTA for you to install/tune for less than you were quoted.

Re: need standalone and install (DAS20V)

The price is not high for the quality & tunability you recieve. The EFI system to me seems like the best way to go if you need to run standalone. And Dynamic knows how to tune it. If you don't want quality go with Megasquirt™.

i will do an autronic or a tec 3 installed, programed , and dyno tuned. but i need to know what car this is going on and need to see the car first before i quote a price. each job is based on it's own merrits. the price will be between $2250 and $3000 depending on what car, motor, and what functions you would like. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: need standalone and install (deserteuro)

its a corrado with a lysholm pushing 19 psi and i have the 22 psi pulley i might run later. dynamics is currently port and polishing my head and building the bottom end with 1.9 liter pistons and a full refurbish.
