is this a hard fix? have difficulty moving from park or neutral to drive when weather is cold. car has to warm up then i have to jiggle the shifter. has anybody repaired this themselves? don't yet have bently repair book yet so i'm not sure where the repair needs to be done - in transmission or just on shifter console?
the dealer ran a diagnostic and say its the safety switch solenoid and want $475 to fix it. i'm not convinced. did try the brake switch and no luck. any help appreciated, thanks joannie
