New Banner Picture for the Golf I & Jetta I forum?

I was thinking that it's about time we get a new picture up for this forum. I really like the classic red GTI but it is getting old. With all of the photos that Conrad and Dutchman have we should be able to find a car that would work. I don't even care what car it is. It could be a nice Jetta or a Caddy or even another Rabbit. What do you think?

I think a new banner would be nice, with a Golf, Jetta, and later-model Cabby, maybe. One thing, though, the cars pictured should definitely be stock... too hard to agree on which mods look good

I see you're point. No matter how many of us like ATS Cups...there are a few people that don't.
A "stock" car would be a lot more universal. Less to argue about.

Coupled with a nice Jetta GLI?

I don't think you can beat the little red early (as you guys call it) Euro style Rabbit. It's just Canadian to me with Euro bumpers but never the less very rare and desirable around here. Had one once, had to let her go. It was my fave.

How about a banner that changes daily or even weekly? Have it cycle between a few over a month? A little spice is nice.

Personaly I like it (because I made it

) But I think if you guys really want it changed I think that somebody should make one with a Jetta,Caddy,Cabby,& Golf all in stock form lined up with the Golf in the foreground... I don't think a US spec rabbit (Post '79) Rabbit should be on there, mainly because we are trying to go global here... My vote is to keep it clean,simple, & the same...

Hey, they should put "reader's rides" up there (photos submitted by Vortex users) that change every time you switch into this forum.

That is a great idea. It would probably be a little too much to ask to make it an active link to info about the owner and car.
