I am new to the forum and I just purchased a '96 GTI VR6. I have a few questions about things I should fix/change:
1) The passenger window motor is not working. I push the button (tried both buttons) and there is not noise, but the lights dim a bit so it leads me to think it's the motor. The stealership quoted me $365 plus $127 to install! Any place I could get one cheaper and should I attempt the install by myself?
2) The check engine light just came on today and I took it to AutoZone and the computer read Code P0411 "Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow" What does this mean? It does have a K& N intake if that has anything to do with it??
3) Where can I get a replacement radio volume nob for my stock radio?
Thank you for your help. jered

my advice is to check out the local forums and ask around for a vw specialist shop. dealers charge wayyy too much and some of 'em don't even know wat they are doing.
replacement radio nob, might want to check out junkyards, dealership or online parts site. if u can't find one, u could just buy a stock radio from the classifieds section, can't be too expensive.
