Hey I'm new around here and have been out of the car scene for more than a few years (hopped on a bike for awhile), only helping friends with their cars from time to time, I decided to get myself something to toy around with and unfortunatly had a Honda Civic hatch fall in my lap (relax it's been sold) but now that I've gotten rid of that and in the process of getting rid of my bike I'm 100% devoted to having the MK1 cabby I've always wanted. My plan is just a simple, no plastic, clean car. I've got a set of RM's and some recaro's already for it and tore the system out of my civic before selling it so I've got some stuff to work with right off the bat (still looking for a worthy subject though). Anyway I want basically this car but in black and wondered if anyone could give me an educated guess on what lips may be on the car (size) and also if you think the fenders are rolled
outwards, trimmed or maybe extended? (doesn't the front look wider?)

Other than the exterior of this car, I am thinking of all kinds of pwerplant ideas. I just came across another thread with ITB's off of a bike and I think I may go that route with a 16V (since I have hook-ups galore with bike stuff) alnog with a supercharger. Although I would love to pick up a BBM blower I think a more economical G-lader or Eaton may be in my cards. Anyway thanks for any help on the info you can muster up about the pic above, my plan was maybe fattening up my rm's to 8's and 9's with 195-45's all around but I thing the 9's may be an issue.
Cheers, Mike.

I figured something like that, would make an 8 inch wheel up front and 8.5 in the rear. I guess I would have to get some lips on my wheels and mount the rubber then put them on the car and start doing what I gotta do.
