My 1991 Jetta GLI. had this car, and 7 other mk2 jetta's in no particular order, though IIRC, this GLI was my 3rd.. i thought the 3rd time was a charm, and it was, for about 15 minutes.

I hit the green golf, broadside after he blew a stop sign, and cut accross my path on a 2 lane road.... i was going about 55. and my skidmarks were about 5 feet long.. i was going 45 or so... nice golf, wasn't it?
tell me the jetta doesn't look pissed...

bad memories. Although, both of us in my car, and both in the other car, all walked away just fine

relatively speaking.
It was registered and insured for 7 days

the 90 days prior i spent $3,000 on the car, $700 on a rebuilt 4k tranny w/ a taller 5th and a sachs sport, $3000 in stereo equipment (i'm big on PPI, and nackamici

) the wheels, new brakes all around, the car had just been painted, single round setup, tint, shine street susp. $1000, p&p head w/ new lifters, GIAC chip, $750 for a stainless TT catback/borla and a nice big downpipe, etc, etc.... i picked it up from the shop about 4 that afternoon, brought it home, detailed it for ~2 hours, and was headed to the mall where i worked to pick up my paycheck and head out to 'the strip' in Worcester to meet up with a few 'texers/local car guys, but never made it to the car's debut

haha the wing came with the car, as did the razor bumper, i was up in the air about the wing.. it came painted, the bumper did as well... i put both on, and decided i didn't like either

if it were the single M3 style wing, i would've liked it, but since i crucified that trunklid putting the wing on, it stayed
