I got my new fuel transfer pump and Bentley manual today. However, I can't seem to loosen the pump assembly. It is like rusted down and it says to turn it counter-clockwise to loosen it. I just CAN'T seem to get the stupid thing off! Any ideas????

Re: NEW TRANSFER PUMP...WHAT TO DO???? (np12cedar)

Spray it down with some "liquid wrench" "PB blaster" or some other related product, let it sit a bit and then have at it again.
I just did this on my cabby, I like a big flat screw driver and a hammer.
Tap at different locations around the disk pushing it counterclockwise.
Good luck

I used a huge pair of channel locks opened wide so each jaw tip fits in a slot. And WD-40 is crap for a penetrant. PB-blaster WILL loosen it up. Great stuff.
