Someone has probably asked this already but will all VR6 and 1.8Ts be upgraded to the new engines in 2002/2003? I would love a 201HP VR6 Jetta Wagon as a possible next car. If the wagon only offers the 170HP Turbo or the 164HP(?) VR6, I'll take the 1.8T and chip it.

new 1.8ts are already out, and new VR6s wont be here for a month+, and even later if you want a manual.....and BTW current VR6s make 174hp

Yeah, the GLI won't be out until May, but are ALL VR6's going to be 201HP or just the GLI? I have only heard that the 201HP is going to be in the Jetta GLI. Are ALL 1.8T's going to be 180HP?
I am hoping to get a 201HP Vr6 Jetta Wagon next year. If it is still going to be the old motor (174--thanks ChicagoVDubs) I'll take the 1.8T instead.

ALL new (24v) VR6s will be 201hp, all 1.8ts in Jetta/GTI will be 180hp

i think the "old" 150hp 1.8t is only going to be used in the Beetle, except Turbo S, which is 180
