Today I got my new wheels and Eibach loweringsprings!
The wheels are OZ Antares 19'' with 225/35/19 Goodyear Eagle tyres.
I am completely happy!
Greets!

Re: new wheels on my RS (diho)

Thanx!
The wheels looks even better in real life!
I only think dat the front of the car i a little to high :-(
Maybe they took the wrong springs. There was a sticker on the box wich said TDI. The shop called with Eibach and they said it was the right one.
Do you have the same set?

Re: new wheels on my RS (jcgcs)

Hi jcgcs
The wheels look great!! How much did the springs lower the car by? In the UK there is a company that use H&R springs that lower the car by 35mm. I am thinking of getting a set with some 18 inch alloys (Momo GT2s). But seeing your car with the Antares has changed my mind.
Do plan to do any other modifications?

Re: new wheels on my RS (stopan1j)

I orderd my Eibach springs direkt in Germany because the Dutch importer does not have a number to order the RS springs. Look at the site from Eibach and find the RS. You wil see that the number is different.
When you want to see how my car looks, come and have o look.

Jacco,
What can I say, great wheels. They make all the difference to the overall appearance of the RS.
and for everyone else out there, I have put some larger more detailed pics on my website that Jacco sent me via email. As ever I have even more detailed pics if anyone wants them.

Hi llblake!
Hi jcgcs

I think about 25mm.

It took a long time before I choose the OZ. But the reactions are great! I also looked for 18's.
But seeing your car with the Antares has changed my mind.
Good!
Do plan to do any other modifications?
Oh, yes!
I have a wishlist! ;-)

Re: new wheels on my RS (SkodaRS)

Hi Jacco
19inch Antares would be my ideal choice, unfortunately my bank balance/manager can't afford them. So it looks like it will have to be 18s!! Jacco whats on your wish list?
Here is mine:
Chip upgrade
Replace standard exshaust system
Replace standard dump valve
Replace standard brake pads
Lowered springs
Upgrade headunit
Upgrade door speakes
Upgrade rear speakers
Install an amp
Install a subwoofer
Replace standard rear spoiler with a WRC spoiler
18 inch wheels.
That lot should keep me busy for a while!!!

Re: new wheels on my RS (jcgcs)

It will fit.
The Reichert racing skoda RS uses 245/35-19... I know that it says 235/35-19 on the homepage but dunlop dont make that size... (but when I think about it it could be 225/35-19 the are using...) but I know that guys with golf IV uses 245/40-18 so IT MUST WORK..

anyway .. it will show if i'm right..right ?..

well well.. catch u l8r bill and ted!

Hi!

18's are not bad!
Jacco whats on your wish list?
My wishlist is about the same as yours:
Here is mine:
me too! Chip upgrade
Yes! Replace standard exshaust system
Yes! Replace standard dump valve
Done this one (ebc-green stuff) Replace standard brake pads
Done this one (Eibach) Lowered springs
Done this one (Kenwood Mask) Upgrade headunit
Not yet Upgrade door speakes
no I realy don't need rear speakers. Upgrade rear speakers
I have 3 amps ready for install! Install an amp
I have 2 subs ready Install a subwoofer
Thinking about it, haven't seen the right one yet! Replace standard rear spoiler with a WRC spoiler
Done(OZ). 18 inch wheels.
I have some small things like a powerlift under the hood, turbo and oil temp meters, K&N panel airfilter etc. I have done a few things also like took of the Octavia word of the trunk and put in some Sill Protector's (thanks manny), You can see a pic on manny web.
I took my RS for a hard drive today and had a little problem with a dribling inside frontwheel, when puting on the power after a tight corner. I think the shocks are not keeping up with the speed. And maby the stabi 's are to soft...
That lot should keep (me) us
busy for a while!!!
Still very very happy with my car!

Re: new wheels on my RS (TaviaRS)

TaviaRS
Don't wait any longer for the Bilstein suspension kit. It is not coming! I had a phone call with Bilstein because I had not heard from them for a long time. The people how has something to say at Bilstein have told me that they don't think that there is a market for a PSS9 suspension for the Octavia RS. I had a very hard discusion with them because off the arengment I had with them. Sorry, no deal. We have to look further. They offerd me a nother set off shocks to reviel the pain. Anything I want.
In the meantime I orderd a race suspension from RRS. It will be ready in march. They offer also a Bilstein PSS9 kit for the Octavia. They adjusted from a Golf kit. After a long chat we thought that the race kit was better for the things I do with my RS.

Re: new wheels on my RS (diho)

Thanks for the update Dick. How stiff is the race kit and is it adjustable? Do you know of anyone who makes a strut brace for the RS? I can find one for a TDI, but don't think it will fit. I'm going to the Ring 28/29/30 March, if you are going any chance of a passenger lap?
