Newbie - Advices for mods in a 1.6 101HP

Hi again!
Well, I would like some advice for mods in my car.
I already have Koni Special fitted, along with Michelin Pilot Exalto.
I also have a BMC air filter (box) fitted.
Please note I don't want to spend too much money...
By the way, what do you think about reprogramming the ECU?
