nitrous???

would my car take like a 30 shot of wet nitrous? it would only be activated a WOT. that car has 213,xxx miles, it has a brand new head and fuel pump. with a 30 shot would i have to worry about somthing happing. this is my Daliy driver now so i cant afford for it to be down.

you need to read some more. really.
a 30 shot is no big deal. and is not gonna make your car an R8 killer.
and If you have a good daily and no money to fix it, dont mess with the
Unkown.

there are a couple things you need to understand about nitrous.
one of them is that a small shot of nitrous with the proper fuel can be fairly safe...
nitrous contains more oxygen molecules then the standard air that would be drawn into your cylinders. there for it can bind to more fuel molecules, creating more combustion and therefore makes more power. basically nitrous makes it so you can use more fuel.
its very similar to forced induction actually.
one of the things you have to worry about is nitrous being sprayed into the motor and then leaning it out becuase there isn't enough fuel.

the other big thing to worry about is that with the standard air that your motor draws in has more nitrogen molecules then the nitrous. its these molecules that, aren't being burned, that carry the heat out of the motor. and with less nitrogen molecules you can over heat.
basically with a wet shot you need to get enough fuel... otherwise BOOM.

and to add to my state ment above...
basically. its safe with the correct fuel BUT you have to understand that there is goign to be more pressure in the cylinder and there for A LOT more wear on your internals. im not saying a 35 wet shot will destroy your motor but it will deffinatly help in the....aging process...

Its will work just fine. Ive seen it done. Just be smart about using it. I would also say dont put it on WOT activation cause if your in 5th gear on the highway and floor it for a bit, your getting more nitrous compared to the amount of fuel. And thats when it goes boom. So do it, just not on WOT activation.
Oh and dont be surprised if it doesn't add 30 extra HP.

when you hook nitrous up to WOT your not making the on off switch WOT what your doing is making it so you can activate your nitrous but even while activated unless your at WOT you won't get any spray.... so that way if you have your nitrous activated and forget and let your foot off a little you won't lean out or anything...
its not going to be noticeable unless your comparing track times or dyno numbers...
what are you driving a 1.8 8v on digi 2?
stock you will run high 17's probably.
with that 30 wet shot you might break into 16's but i doubt it.
if you want to see a serious gain you would buy a aba bottom end and have the head milled a few times. that and a mild cam, chip, and bigger exhaust would get you to low 16's no question.
