I finally got my NJ plates and will be saying goodbye, farewell, etc... to my NY ones. I despise the front plate. Do they get on your case here if you 'forget' to put it on?

really? I went 7 years in NY w/o one and received one ticket. 75 bucks, no court appearence - mailed it in, left the plate off.
I don't have a bracket for my car so now I think I may have to get one... or I'll take my chances.

Yea, when they snagged me, I had to go to court, paid $75 fine, $10 court cost, and a cop walked to my car to see if they were actually attached to the car!
