mmmm, that would be nice. If It was mine to drive all the time, I would do something like that. The wifey doesn't need those goodies...

it seems to be the way it is. the wife gets the new car with all the comfort and options, and the husband gets the 20yr. old car with the creaks, rattles and shakes.... its funny how the "car enthusiast" gets the old beater and the wife gets the showroom beauty! they must be doing something right

I'm just happy my wife loves her A3 Jetta, or I'd have to be shelling out my cashola for an MKIV

NO you can't. Like you said you still drive the Caddy, but your wife can go into the mkIV forum.

Re: No, I am not a trator. I still drive my A1 daily (Big CADDY)

i have noticed that most a1 guys have significant others that drive cars that are at least 3-4 times the cost of their own cars ...and they help pay...at least i do...my wife sometimes won't even drive in some of my cars i had to buy my b3 wagon to cut down the mileage on her b5.....we've had it 17 months and have 35k miles with only oil changes and two bulbs to speak of for maintinance ..which leads me to believe it's not what vw you drive... but where it was made....i don't want to but with our baby due in the next few weeks i "might" buy or at least lease a jetta wagon 1.8t....or maybe do a 1.8t swap into my b3...the last thought would allow me to spend more money on my a1's...

i must be a jurk. i got my girl a 84 gti with 220,000mi on it that she uses for her driving adventures to themall. the best part is its almost rust free and runs great all for 280.00. dont get me wrong she wants a new jetta but this is what she gets for now . she hates no power steering but o well. at least she appreicates that fact that she owns and drives a GTI.
