No silver with cloth in port or not sold at dealers?

I was told, by my dealer, that I will have to wait 3 months for a car that I have had a deposit on since last July because there are no available silver .:R32s in the country with cloth.
Since I have had an "order" in since last year, shouldn't he be getting a silver one?
This particular dealer is very good and has always delivered what it has promised on the sales and service side so I am a little troubled by his statement.
Has anyone else been told this ????

i think Drew VW in san diego had a silver with cloth coming in. Might be sold by now though.

each region orders their own cars we have lots of cloth cars in northeast region
