tonight before coming home from work, finaly finishing my bilstein switch over, I started the car and I noticed a grinding, crushing, knocking noise coming from the car, so first thing I did is check the G-lader, but nothin'g, eventualy everything driven by the surpantine belt until I got to the crank pulley, and the loudest I can hear it is from the oil pan, and behind the crank pulley.
What the F#######uck is happening
I feel like shooting someone right now, cause my only assumption is rods, bent crank, loose crank bolt, or crank bearings, and the last two are the ones I can deal with, but the first two make me want to torch the car.
does anyone have any insight on this, or have had a similar experience, please I beg you help me

lol, I left the car exactly where it was after I heard that noise, and if it is somethin' broken in the motor, I wish that it was the g-lader instead, I have 2 extra ones at home

Drain the oil and drop the pan. Nothing beats a visual inspection. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

If you didn't have the "special coolant" fluid in there before. THROUGHLY flush the old stuff out first before refilling. Do not mix the two!!! BTW I'm happy for you, that must be a load off your back. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

hey the coolant they gave me was just green, and it was a VW only part store.
after fixing the problem with the water pump, which went fine, I took the car on a nice test drive and found out that I got 3 or 4 more lbs of boost since the old water pump was adding preasure to the belt, then came back to the shop to find my hood smoking, and when I popped it, fuel was spraying everywhere, so I went bazzziiiiirkooooooooo grabbed a water hose as fast as I can and sprayed the hell out of my fpr and fuel hoses. I checked it and one of the fpr brackets had broken so the fpr came loose and fluel was spraying out. Jesus christ, I pooped in my pants and now I know exactly how blackie felt about his car.
I'm still scared, I took a huge fire extinguisher and sat it in the passenger seat http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
After all this I don't think it's over, my fuel pumps feels like it's going out, when I let the car sit (loses inline fuel pressure) it's tough to start, but after starting it if I shut it off and start it again it works fine. The mechanic that works for us said that the fuel pump does that. sooooooo
