I have heard this as well. A couple extra feet will do wonders. I have extra under my dash and have never had any problems with noise.
I believe there is also a filter that will eliminate the noise that can be installed on the vacuum line (at the boost gauge).

You can also put a fuel filter in line, it has helped many here on vortex.
One of the old plastic types should fit right in line.

i think the stage 3 kit is the most cost effective way http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
btw, does any one have pics of a fuel filter inline with the vacuum tube?

buying an expensive guage that reads out the same thing as a mechanical one is not really an option right now. if it was, i would have already gone that route. as for the filter thingie, i will definately try that out. is there a certain size one that works best?

The easiest and cheapest way to eliminate the buzzing is to add a small piece of electronic packing foam to the back of the nipple on the gauge itself. My gauge buzzed before I did this...no more buzz after. It did not affect my readings at all either. Let me know if you have any more questions.

it must have to be a VERY SMALL piece of foam, huh? i will definately try this. i tried the fuel filter thing and it did not cure all the buzzing, just some of it.

HA!!!
I just fixed this problem on my VDO Vision boost gauge yesterday.
I used a small fuel filter in-line, hidden behind my 3 gauge DIN panel. Just go to your local auto parts store and look for the smallest fuel filter you can run. I personally found a perfect one for my application.
I'll go take a pic in a little so you can see what I did, maybe that will help you out.
