I just got my motor back in and running with 83mm forged JEs. Ive noticed that on the first start of the day after the car has been sitting all night the pistons seem to be a little noisy. It only lasts for a few minutes then goes away.
Im pretty sure its the slugs since it doesnt sound like lifters and they are brand new anyway. Its too high of a sound to be a rod knock as well. So my question is, do you guys running rebuilt 16V with forged slugs get this noise on start up?
