I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out a random misfire in my 14 tsi jetta. I believe it’s timing related as my cam adaptation is 0 degrees at idle instead of the expected 10 degrees. All coils and plugs are new, as are the timing chains. This misfire was present prior to the timing chain job so I don’t believe the new chain is off by a tooth. The cam adjuster magnet is free and appears to have 12 volts to it from idle to 3000rpm. The N205 valve is free and appears to function correctly. Oil pressure appears within spec, 35psi cold and 19 psi hot at idle. I dropped the pan, absolutely no sludge and a clean pick up tube as well. Does anyone have any ideas .
