I have an 84 Rabbit GTI, stock 1.8 .......
I have a brand new bosch 3 wire o2 sensor, I cant seem to sell.
Can I use this to send a signal to the ecu and my a/f guage. (which I havent bought yet).
in a nut shell: can I use the three wire ??????
The challenge is figuring out what wire does what. There are two white wires And one black one. This sensor was for an A2 16v.
I am trying to sell this and buy two single wire ones. One for the ecu and one for my guage, which is definetly a correct way to achieve my goal. But i cant sell this puppy.
Sorry for the long post

Re: o2 sensor / fuel mixture guage question (XDrewX)

the 3 wire O2 sensor is basically the same thing as a single wire, the difference is that the 2 white wires heat up the element so it gests faster readings on startup (just environmental issues) so the answer is yes you can use it, but only use the black wire. now, you don't need two O2 sensors, one is enough to feed the ecu and the air/fuel meter gauge. again splice on that black wire and feed the ecu and a/f gauge
