Solid outing from Mad Dog. I see Baker is going with Zambrano tomorrow. Sunday, Marshall goes...I'm looking forward to see how he does.

Re:

I'm going to the game tomorrow afternoon. Should be a good matchup, Carpenter vs. Zambrano. It's supposed to be 45 and sunny so the weather shouldn't be too bad, but if it's as windy as it was today it'll be pretty cold as the section my friend's seats are in seem to be in the teeth of the wind on days like this. I'm excited about seeing the new guys like Pierre & Cedeno in person.

Re: Re: (djb)

Is Wade Miller still hurt? I know he's probably just a stopgap, but Jerome W has carried over his stink from the preseason. I guess it won't matter much when Prior comes back.
Zambrano
Prior
Maddux
Marshall (hope he lasts)
Rusch/Miller/Williams/Wood (glimmer of hope)

It's good to see a decent start to the season. I look forward to taking in a game at Wrigley this year http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Holy crap, grand salami!!! It's only April, but it's still the Cardinals. You know he was looking fastball; nothing else Isringhausen threw was even close.

Re:

Yesterday's game was pretty exciting (and cold) what with Barrett's pinch-hit 2 run homer and Lee's game winning dinger in the eighth, but it wasn't exciting as tonight's game with Jones' 3 run shot and Barrett's grand slam.
I guess any talk of the Batter's Eye Lounge causing problems for hitters is going to be a thing of the past.

Were you there Saturday?

Good to see some men on base when these homers are hit. Though I'd still like to see them be able to just single and double their way to a win just in case the long ball isn't working.

Yeah, I was there Saturday. His seats are in the second row of the upper deck on the 3rd base side, so they're pretty much always in the shade, which is nice in the summer but a little chilly at the beginning of the season.

I agree. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif A win over the Cards is great no matter what time of year. Not to mention a sweep!

Is the score right now as bad in real life as it is on the internet? Arroyo again?! WTF!

Wow you can beat the cards but get destroyed by the reds. Maybe you guys should bring your game every night.
Here's to another .500 season

Things like that happen over the course of a 162 game season. Welcome to baseball, it sounds like you just started watching this week
