Thanks for the info - it would be a lot more help if you could somehow make me technically inclined

I am sure it will come in handy when it is time for me to replace my headunit though.

I was just messin around with Christian because I know when he was typing that reply his brain was going through a memory overload from all of those PDFs.

I have a webserver running in my basement. I have Comcast Cable. I figured it would be running a little slow with everyone download all of the PDF's but I guess I was wrong. I am also hosting 3 personal websites ( http://www.rationalgaze.com ; http://www.dinsolutions.net ; http://www.projekt-gib.com ,a website for my girlfriends sisters ice cream shop ( http://www.whatsthescooponline.com ) and about 60 megs worth of info that I post on here.

That being said...brings me to what I thought of after I read it:
Christian, I know you will be looking at those PDFs over and over and over again. I know I will be. I was thinking that while we are looking it over, we make a list of things that we think can be done with the audio system. Example: OEM -> OEM headunit swaps and how hard we think it will be. We will also make a list of parts that you can buy on http://www.enfig.com for the MK5 system and what each part will accomplish.

After a 19 hour work shift so I can go to the beach tomorrow I have no idea what all these letters are. My printer says "low ink"

I'll look at these sheets on the beach tomorrow afternoon.

On a side note. Since 1/7/2002 I have sent 10,623 E-mails

EDIT 40 Minutes after the last edit Navigation radio - I just ordered a part that should allow me to connect a laptop to the navigation screen. Ipod interface and audio input and factory XM

My ears are blowing smoke. I'm going to lay in bed now and think about volkswagen radios.

After reading it a bit: Heres a tip for those who plan on replacing their current headunits wit nav headunits... DONT FORGET TO GET THE SECURITY CODE THAT GOES WITH THAT HEAD UNIT!

Well enjoy the beach tomorrow. I will be looking over these PDF's while I am at work today.
But on a side note, I am a little confused about one thing.
I have the full car wiring diagram for "4" different systems:
Navigation System
Premium Sound System w/ Satellite Radio
Premium Sound System (this is the one that I don't get)
Sound System
But I only have general information on "3" different headunits.
Navigation System (soon to be available)
Premium Sound System
Sound System (this is the one that comes in the Value Edition)
Where is the Premium Sound System w/ Satellite Radio???

I havent looked over it yet it looks like the radio's are the same but one diagram shows the connections between the radio and the satellite radio tuner.
