Seriously tho, check with a local jeep club, if anyone knows where offroad action is, they would.

When I used to live in NY, I would do some off-roading w/ the Western Connecticut Rovers Club. We did some trails in an area near middletown called Lamentation mountain. But I believe that's now closed. There's also a state park in the NW part of the state called Satans Kingdom (bad-a$$ name or what!). There are a few other places but I don't know any off the top of my head.
Anyhow, give the Rover club a shout at http://www.landroverclub.com
They're good guys and would be happy to let you tag along on some trips.... thati is, if you're in something that can keep up w/ the rovers (eg slightly modified Jeep or toyota). If you have a Ford Explorer or something the best they'll let you do is ride shotgun.
