Damn! OK. I guess I'll wait until I get mine in the mail then. I've gone over my mileage for my next oil change, and I wanted to change the oil ASAP.

Is the original silver-colored seal ring difficult to remove? I'm having trouble getting mine off.

what are you guys talking about? the metal gasket cannot be reused?i changed my oil 3 times and used the same gasket without any problems.what kind of problems should i be aware of?

You should always replace the washer with a new one at every oil change.
To get the original off get a pair of small vice grips and bend it and it will end up breaking and it will then come off. Just be careful of the threads. And never over tighten it.

49000 / 3000 = ~17 oil changes
never changed the seal... never leaked
rember torque it to 18 ft lbs. Its aluminum and strips out
easy.

changed mine at the 30k oil change only
noticed no diff

I believe that washer is called crush washer hence the need to replace it everytime you take off the drain plug.
