I am doing my first auto-x school this coming Sat. I just want to double check as to the sump level needed in a C. I have been told for normal driving that you should have the oil only half-way up the dipstick not at FULL. There are some cars that SCCA highly recommends to run a qt over.
What oil level should I run?
Another oil related topic. Has anyone else had a chronic oil pan gasket leak. I am aftaid that I am going to do that soon. I have tightended the bolts a couple of times over the past couple of summers and there was a little puddle under there again when I got her out last week.
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Oil Level for auto-x (VenomSLC)

All last year, I ran autox about a quart and a half low (accidently, long story). I had no problems with the oil level warning. So you should be fine at your regular running level.
