Oil light at high RPMs on ABA 2.o

Oil light at high RPMs on ABA 2.o
at close to redline, my oil light will just barely flicker. Is this a common problem. I have heard that the ABAs run a lower oil pressure but my guage is almost buried at that point. 5bar guage. around 1 at idle.... I am running an 87 GLI head on the ABA block.
Any Ideas?
Possible loose connection?
I don't want to starve my baby of blood..

Id try putting in a new high pressure sensor and see if that kills the light. It could be a bad sensor.

well, the sensor is only about a year and half old... I'm running 10w 30... I don't remember it doing this during the summer running 20w 50.
