bored in class so i can't go look...help me out for later tonight

w/ a turbo...you mount the oil feed off the oil filter houseing...and the oil return on the oil pan correct? so what do you do with the 2 lines that used to feed the supercharger? if i remember correctly the return line is on the front of the block...and the oil feed is???? the side of the head maybe? what do you do with those 2 lines? pull off the line and slap a bolt in there? the ATP directions dont help a whole lot. why do they say to remove the axle....just to give you more room to work under the car?

Re: oil line question (FireShootingG60s)

Hey,
You can do a few things with the stock G60 oil feed lines. The feed line for the SC is connected to the side of the head, sharing a T with a sensor. Remove the T and screw the sensor directly into the head. Remove the return line and use a bolt to block the hole you have left.
Removing the halfshaft is just to give you more room to work with.

Re: oil line question (BLUE NRG)

i wondered the same thing renzo untill i saw the lines. the oil return line for the turbo is easily 6x the size of the factory one. the oil feed line is similar in size. i would rather use the factory spot for the feed line, but the oil line has a different fitting. i use the oil filter houseing for oil feed now correct?
is the supercharger bracket a pain to take off? i heard it was but havnt had time to go out in the garage yet. dont think i will be able to untill sunday either.
i work too damn much....and i still have no money.

B/c it looks like poop on a stick and a halfa$$ job. Whereas the alt. bracket off an A3(??I think) fits and looks a lot nicer.

Re: oil line question (G60GTI)

damn i am gonna have to leave that supercharger braket on there untill i get the a3 stuff huh? right now the goal is to get the car running...then worry about makeing it look pretty. for the sensor on the side of the head...do you just pull off the bolt that has the oil line on it....and use any bolt to bolt the sensor back in? i know i had some questions but can't remember what they were now. spent the few min. i had last night takeing off the exhaust manifold and intake manifold. it sucks not having any time.

Re: oil line question (FireShootingG60s)

Hey there.
Just unthread the oil sensor and then remove the the oil feed line and the T-fitting that taps into the head. then just thread the oil sensor on into the head. The other guys hit the nail on the head for that one.
for the return line just use a bolt with the right size threads and you should be in there. but its in a PITA location so have fun.
Make certain you can get an 8V fuel pump block off plate to replace the smaller G60 bracket that supports the outlet side of the G60 charger. On crez's I just took the G60 bracket to the band saw because I was short on time and heavy on tools

I wouldn't use the G60 oil feed line for anything other than the G60 because it is molded for the G60 application and very brittel so save it even thought its only $40 I know somebody that won't mind getting it

As for the stock exhaust manifold and down pipe I know Crez needs a good down pipe with a good flex coupling so please hook him up http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Yes get it running good first and then mess around with it later. Wouldn't it suck to slap a turbo on it after having it look perfect only to find out your a/f was so far off that you ate a piston. Hope to see you at Bugout. I might even wash the car first this time and try top compete against Bill's fox
