I just purchased a '91 Corrado Back in November. So i am new to the G60, but I have taken 2 years to find the right one w/ 32K mi. on it. Now what weight should I run and does it hurt to change weights for the seasons.
I spoke witha gentleman and he said a good oil wieght to run was Delo 15W-40.
Ok here is my situation. I am in the Northwest. Seattle area, Winter time the lows Mid 20's daytime highs Low 50's, Sommer Time Low 60's to 90's.
Now remember there is allot of stop and go traffic, seeing that Seattle has surpassed CA. with the Nation's No. 1 worst traffic. (uh, I think that is a bad thing)
P.S. Synthetic good or bad to run? Does the G60 gaskets and o-rings resist leaking when using synthetic.
Oh yeah, my first oil change was just 10W-30, wasn't sure with but I was trying to keep it on a 2K interval change.

Re: Oil Viscosities? (Non_Affiliated)

i would go for either Shell helix Ultra 5-40 or Mobil 1 5-50
my charger looked like new after more then 35k Miles with small pulley and living on the rev limiter edge(6800) all day long.

Re: Oil Viscosities? (audis8)

I too live in Seattle and use mobil 1 15w50 full synthetic in my Corrado. I think it is a good year round oil that can stand up to the occasional 90 degree summer day and 30 degree winter night. Although it is synthetic oil I still change it every 3,000 miles because in FI cars the oil tends to get dirty quicker.
