Ok, while changing my linkages, I leaned on the motor for some leverage, and the motor and tranny rotated abouut 4"!! Now, I know this isn't any good at all, so I looke dbetter at things. Front mount(from the tranny to the 'frame') is done. Rear mount(large square rubber thing) looks like it's been sawed clean through.
I know these ain't cheap, and I know Potterman probably carries them, but how hard are these two to change?
Thanks for the info on my last thread, shifting kinda dreamlike(til I get new parts), now if I can get the motor to stop hoppin and boppin, I'll be a daisy...*siiiiiiiigh*

Re: Ok, fixed my linkages...How much of a pain are MOTOR MOUNTS? (SidRocco)

That back one isn't hard at all.. but if you sheared that, your pass mount is probably toast too (mine always is when the back one goes
). Problem is that the pass mount is hard to get to, you'll need a press to get the insert out, and is generally a pain in the...

If its shot there should be a lot of vibration especially in the dash. Put a floor jack under the oil pan and jack it up about an inch. If the vibration is lessened then you def have to replace the mount. Also check your front mount for cracks in the metal arm that attaches it to the motor. It is very common in rabbits to have that mount crack.

Ok, got the mounts in, makes a HUUUUUUUGE difference in how the car feels and drives. Just ask that kid in the Prelude Si on Hwy 100

I have notoced a knocking when I shut off the motor, though. I figure it's either the exhaust banging on something or the driver's side mount is out, too...
Oh yeah--- The arm from the tranny to the rear mount was broken where one of the two 13mm nuts goes
--So I replaced that, too

Including cleanin all the parts before re-install and cleanin myself: 2.0 hours....
