to or not to remove the charcoal canister. what the heal does it do anyway. i have had mine out for years but i m wondering if its hurtin me in anyway.
It's an environment thing.
It collects the gasoline fumes/vapors when the engine is stopped, and converts them back to fuel in the charcoal, thus preventing them from polluting the air.
On a non emissions compliant car it doesn't matter I just relocated mine to the fender well so I could feel good that I've done my part.
The problem is what to do with all the vacume lines afterwards.
