205/45 is the correct tire size for 16"

205/45-16 looks like dis on a 16x7 (front only, the rear is a 16x8 with the same tire)

Its a good size, but if you want to be low you're better off with a 205/40-16, which is a good size too. The 205/45 is a bit bigger diameter than stock

I dunno...that 205/45 looks like its exactly what Im lookin for Jason
I just dont want it to have the "Rim with the Fat stock tire" look you know? I mean 16's arent exactly big, but there not little either so I just want something that will fill up the wheel wells....because my stock 14s are already filling them up & id like to keep the car at the same height if possible

If you want to stay low then go with 205 as trhe width no matter what...people love to ocram a 215 under there which will mean you will rub and it only gives you 1/4" more tread on the road surface9the contact patch) so it is really not the way to go. I agree the 205/40 would be a safe bet....

Man, putting 928 wheels on a Dub was sheer brilliance http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I love those RDs. What colour is your car? When I had my 16" OZs, I ran 205/45s, which were absloutely perfect. Plenty of grip, with enough sidewall to protect the rim. Plus it looks low profile enough to pass for a 17" on the fly.

i use to run 205/40 yokos on my old 16s
Re: OK Im pickin up my wheels on Sunday=) Now I need to know.... (Vdub18)

hm I was thinking 215/40 or 215/45 on my coming 16s
the rim will be 7.5, the last set of 7.5 rim I was running 205 and it didn't cover the whole rim. But will 215 rub for sure if lower around 2"
