OK, the last question I have about cams

Alright, Christmas is coming up, time for a cam and an intake. I have a 99 2.0 Beetle with a GIAC chip, Magnaflow exhaust, and soon to be Eurosport intake. I want a cam that'll give me a little rougher than stock idle, and some noticeable power increase in the higher RPMS. I shift around 5000 usually except when I'm racing where I shift around 6500, so, I don't care too much about losing power below 3000rpm. I need a hydraulic lifter, yes? I was looking at the Autotech Sport 270 cam, but it says on the website that it's good up to 1995 models. What do I need for the 99? Anyone reccomend anything better than that for my needs? I'm not gonna do NOS ot turbo on this beast, just all motor, so I guess I don't need to worry too much about the size. Anyway, that's it from me, I promise I'll never post another question about cams.
