Re: Ok what offset to get for a set of 17 x 8's? (assumed1)

You'll never get them under stock fenders without issues. You'll have to roll the fenders at the very least. 7.5" is much less of a problem...

Re: Ok what offset to get for a set of 17 x 8's? (VR6guy)

My fenders are cut out in the rear.
But the wheels that I am looking at - the width are only 7s or 8s
I am thinking that 7s would be a little narrow.
And if I can get a custom offset for the 8 I was thinking of getting them.

I have 17X8 tsw hockenheims and they fit. The backs rub a little but its nothin a little fender roll and dremeling cant fix, Ive just been busy with other things and havent done it yet. Im not sure of the offset on them though, but you can get them to fit.

8" wide wheels and coilovers are going to require no more than a 25mm offset. That's cutting it pretty close to the spring, any more and it's going to rub the spring.

17x8 with a ET35 i think would be the best bet....the back should clear, and the front, may need fenders rolled a bit,
I am takin from experience my 17x8 with a ET40 vs 18x8 with an ET35.....
i had less problem with 18's,
and i have now gone to a 19x8 with an ET35
