I've got an 88 GTI 16V fuel pump assembly (reservoir, accumulator, pump, metal fuel lines). All that stuff is rusted out and cracked in my 87 Jetta GLI 16V.
I noticed that the GTI has a larger fuel pump. As long as I swap all of the parts, is that gonna work okay?
I guess I'm mainly concerned about possible difference in fuel pressure--the parts should all fit.

Re: okay to put 88 GTI 16V fuel pump assembly in an 87 Jetta GLI 16V? (FolksWaggin)

The German built 16V cars used the 52mm or 60mm pump and the American built used the 60mm.
Just do the whole assembly and you will be fine...
