I am new to diesels... really new. I am a generator mechanic and also with gas prices and after reading up on TDI's I was just wonderin which diesel is easier to get power from. TDI or TD. Also what is the oldest TD car? Thanks I know I should of searched, but I dont get too much time to search.

the oldest TD (in the US, anyway) was the 82/83(?) jetta. it was a mkI jetta, thats all i know.
TDI's are prob easier cuz u can just chip them, plus their more powerful already than reg. TD's

btw...filled up my tank 2day for $1.79...when the rest of the sign read:

2.13
2.22
1.79
or somethin to that effect lol

The Turbo Diesels stopped at like what, 94ish? Then the Turbo Direct Injected came around, they are 10x's better then the old Turbo's like mine. Trust me!
