after an 8 hour drive i now have an 82 rabbit pickup.
the body is solid, there is a small amount of surface rust, the front fender needs replaced, and the only rust through is behind the drivers side rear wheel.
1.7 gas...... the top end has been rebuilt, but it needs a new clutch and starter.
$600........ good deal????

Brian your going to have a tough time topping this ..... i love you

Wow props to your husband. I will need to keep this gift idea in mind for my wife for our 1 year. She just recently got me two rabbit convertibles for my bday to use as parts to finish my project.
I have a late westy passenger side fender for sale, or if you want to switch to rounds I have two sets of round fenders. I also have a few extra starters if you need. Let me know! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: (sriracha)

nice! same bedrails too

light grey/blue interior?
if the same interior.. do you know what year 4 doors had the same stuff (color)?
plans at first are to get it running/driving properly.
then fix up what little rust there is on the rear DS 1/4 (will a rabbit rear 1/4 work or can you get caddy repop rear 1/4's?.. if not the hole is so small it could be fixed with just metal.)
slam it on rado steelies with 165/50's
fix all the other misc. little stuff wrong with it (little interior pieces etc)
basically drive it as her summer/fun car. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: FV-QR (B4S)

hahahaha you need to convince her

oh and the guy said "shifts into gear not very well and the clutch slips"
well i looked underneath: the front motor mount is out of the front cup and it just hanging there.
think that could cause a linkage issue? i think so

also it's pulling on the clutch cable..
think that could cause the clutch to slip?

so it may be the simplest fix ever by putting the front motor mount back in the cup.. i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
even if it does need a new clutch it's still a good deal IMO.

yeah, i have the light grey interior, with the wood grain dash bezel. i believe they are black tie editions (slate metallic, black bumpers/trim, light grey interior with wood grain and bed rails).
i'm not sure what year 4 doors have the same interior. i have yet to see the same in the yards.
