I installed Burger Tuning's JB4 on my bone stock M/T GTI one year ago. I read a lot about how my clutch would be slipping in no time, but a year later my clutch is perfectly fine!
This tune makes this car a blast when you feel like putting your foot down! Granted, first gear doesn't really exist with this tune because you'll never get the power down but rather roast your front tires. Needless to say I wouldn't dream of racing anyone from a standstill. I very rarely do "race" others, but occasionally someone will be acting like an idiot on the highway and I can't help myself. The way this car goes from 60 mph to 100 mph with the 93 octane JB4 is awesome!
So, would I recommend the JB4? Yes.
Would I choose it again? Yes.
... though maybe I should fit slightly wider tires.
Cheers!

Hello
I’m 16 months in with my 2021 mk7.5 SE Manual.
APR+ tune @ 10k. I ditched my Bridgestones at 16,000 miles. I’m on Firestone firehawk Indy 500’s, stock size. Summer tires was the best move I made, that was easy because I live in Florida.

APR plus tune is a blast but alas it’s is not perfect.
Let me explain: On partial throttle settings in second, third and fourth gear between 2500-3500 RPM I have noticeable surging. I’ve been told it’s a wastegate issue but I have no check engine lights.
The pursuit of perfection continues.
This may sound passé but this is my moderately priced dream car and I can’t believe I waited this long to get into a GTI.
