well, last week i put the nokian hakka 1's on. studded of course. anyways, I used to get 400-450 on a tank with my summers and now I get 350 on a tank with my winters. thats it.

yea, not to mention salt, road grime, snow, freeze-your-jewels-off cold weather, and all the other little joys of winter...
but I still love NH!

I only get 300 miles/tank during the summer with my 1.8 16v. Maybe I shouldnt floor it in every gear

i spend $80 a month on gas in my 190e...and i dont drive anywhere cept to school and work

my gti got crazy good mileage i could get around for half that...

its not going to make a huge difference, but make sure you are checking your tire pressure as it tends to drop significantly in cold weather causing higher fuel consumption

well, I did a clutch today and a tranny swap and I noticed the breather on top of the valve cover(8v) the line to it is cracked bad so I am thinking that maybe that hurts gas mileage?

beats me man. i have an 8v too and my gas mileage does to **** whenever winter rolls around. ive just come to accept it

I get between 290-350 a tank in my 91 16v GLi. I drive like a bat out of hell... on the freeway alone i can get about 400 miles a tank.
I havnt driven this bish thru an entire winter so we shall see.
