have you checked to see if either of your latches are broken? or are you sure its the sliding glass part?

could very well be. a lot of people have had issues w/ their latches breaking..i believe they end up swapping more then the latch, perhaps the whole shade (some correct me if i'm wrong). both of my front/rear broke and were replaced under warranty
