I am going to look at a 1998 Passat. White w/grey cloth. V6 w/tiptronic and luxory package (moonroof, alloys, etc..)
They want $13,995 for it, but it has 86,000 miles on it.
Is this a decent price and should this many miles scare me away?

Don't do it pay an extra 1 to 2 grand & find one with lower miles at 86,000 you'll hit 100,000 in 10 months. I purchased a Camry with 60,000 miles in Feb of 99 & it now has 103,000 still runs great but miles racked up quick since it was my work car. But I was averaging 1,300 miles communting to work a month.
Plus it'll be 4 years old in a month.

$13995 sounds like a price they put on the window. You can probably get it for at least a thousand less.
