I now join 3 other people in my division at work who drive VW diesels: 1984 Rabbit, 1998 Jetta TDI, & 2001 Jetta TDI.
it's official, I've been converted from Toyota to VW
make sure you tell them not to put that liscence plate frame on the front of your car. The holes they put in the rubstrip are huge, and look nasty if you want to take the plate off.

BTW: 2 years on my MkIV Jetta TDI and I haven't had ANY problems with window regulators or anything else

Becareful. TDI's are hard to get and dealers play games with some of us when we order them b/c they don't want to use a trade for our vechiles.

WHen I was there, there was a sweet 24V VR6 Jetta, supposedly the first ones to arrive in the Northeast region. It MSRP'd close to $28,000.
