VWs sold in India have the steering wheel stalks oriented opposite to other manufacturers. Meaning, in a RHD car, the indicator stalk (for the purpose of ergonomics) should be on the Right had side of the wheel and the wiper stalk on the Left.

In countries where it is LHD, these stalks are indeed positioned ergonomically (indicator on the Left and wiper on the Right).

I would like to ask VW owners based on other RHD countries (UK, Australia etc.) - how are the stalks in your cars oriented?

Please note that in India, it's only VW and Ford who do not follow this ergonomic convention. All other manufacturers - BMW, Merc, the Japs, the Koreans, even the Americans (Chevy) follow the convention and reorient the stalks.

Thanks and cheers
