Re: orion 2150sx??????? (yo yo ma)

He's going to tear the a-hole out of those subs !!
I just happen to have my Car Audio Annual Directory from 1993 by my pc [ I was building stereo's before most of you were... well never mind]

It bridges down to 600 watts rms @ 4 ohms mono, I had one too before some SOB made off with it. Mint, not a scratch. Retail according to my guide here was $725 .
Its a great starter amp if you don't feel like upgrading ever. This amp is from Orion's heyday when they made a solid line-up. GT/GX/SX & the infamous HCCA lineup. The SX became the XTR which is added an internal crossover.
My only gripe about these amps is the wiring harness. It sucks and mine used to come loose every now and again. Other than that the amp was rock solid. Have him feed 4 gauge from the battery to the fuse block. I believe the factory wiring is 8 gauge so long as its not a long run I wouln't worry about it. The only way you'll kill this amp is to starve it for power.... running too small wire from battery will do just that.

Re: orion 2150sx??????? (Lexi)

Forgot to add....
This amp is one of the "truely underated" . They typically bench around 175-180 watts rms x2 ~ 700-750 rms mono. They make alot of power because they suck a lot of current. That's why its so important to feed them properly.
