There's a local lake, and the water's really low. I drove down the bank, near the water and started to take some photos.

I noticed some fish in the remaining water (only about 5-10M wide), so I thought I'd walk around and take some pics. I ran down a slight slope, over an area that looked pretty dry.

I sank down a fair way and covered my $220 runners in mud. Why does this never seem to happen when you're in steelcaps?!
It's lucky that I had some plastic bags in the boot! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
bugger!

Re: OT: Watch your step! (act:GTI)

Re: OT: Watch your step! (spritle)

Thanks
.
Shoes have a really metallic smell to them now - slightly better smelling than before
I think they'll be ok after a wash.
Photos were taken at an area called Bowna, which I believe is connected to Lake hume - I'm not 100% sure though. Here are some pics I took at the lake a few weeks back http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=672162 You can't really see the water - it was 7% a few weeks back.
Oh - Bogging the dub? Already done that!
I took my diesel off roading and into a gigantic puddle. I sat there for a few minutes trying all the gears to get out, but couldn't move. I didn't want to leave the car because I was surrounded by deep mud and it was pretty dark outside. Just when I was about to give up and walk, the wheels caught something and I managed to drive out.
Remember the Jeep cherokee ad, where the jeep shakes the mud off? Dub's don't do that

Mum was pretty shocked when she went into the carport the next morning!

Good fun though!
