can some one please answer why the rad supports on are cars are fiberglass??? wouldn't it make more scense for a metal one that would hold together better under impact

Might I suggest aftermarket headlights if your insurance is willing to pay for it (i.e. same price or they don't know better). Good thing about dealer prices being so high, is you can probably get the in.pro lights or something like that for cheaper).

i think the radiator, as well as other heavy engine components, are designed to crumple and "submarine" under the floorpan in a collision... thus preventing entry into the passenger compartment. That's how to get good crash-test ratings!!!
